Welcome

We are pleased to announce that
the University of Udine
will be hosting the Conference

Dynamical Methods
in Algebra, Geometry and Topology

from the 4th to the 6th of July 2018.

The conference will be held at Palazzo Antonini
(see the map),
which is in the city centre of Udine
(see how to reach Udine).

Download here the poster of the conference.

In the last decades, several notions of entropy have been introduced in different areas of Mathematics. This allowed a dynamical perspective on classical problems in Algebra, Geometry and Topology. Though some technical details depend on the specific contexts, several common ideas underlie all these notions. The aim of this conference is to gather mathematicians working on these topics from different points of view, in order to understand the present state of the art and to discover new connections.

There will be two mini-courses consisting of two lectures, and six plenary talks (see the schedule). Moreover, the participants are invited to propose contributed talks.

The number of participants is limited to 50. There is no registration fee for the conference, but registration is compulsory. Registration is possible until the 1st of May 2018, or until the expected number of participants is reached.
Registration is still possible until the end of May, but we have reached the maximum number of contributed talks.

On Friday the 6th of July 2018 there will be a guided tour of Udine and a social dinner.

The conference is sponsored by Programma SIR 2014 - GADYGR by MIUR,
and is supported by Università degli Studi di Udine and Dipartimento di Scienze Matematiche, Informatiche e Fisiche.
